Kahuku Ledge is the northernmost top of Oahu that marks a relatively inaccessible site which can only be dived when the conditions are perfect, which is rare. Depending upon the speed of the boat, transit times from Haleiwa Harbor can be up to 2 hours to the site, three quarters of a mile offshore. As the area is inaccessible the dive site is unspoiled. Kahuka Ledge runs parallel to shore at 70 feet, then plummets in a sheer drop to over 160 feet. Yellowfin Tuna, Openwater jacks and the other resident fish abound here. Sea Life: Yellowfin tuna, Openwater Jack, Lobster, Tiger Cowries, Trumpet Snail.
